HOMEMADE KETCHUP

Updated: Sep 2, 2021

ree

As long as I remember when I was a kid I never used to like ketchup from the store.

Store-bought ketchup contains high-fructose syrup and a list of preservatives that I tend to avoid.

The homemade version, on the other hand, is cheaper and all about natural flavours, ingredients, and spices.

My grandmother used to make her own ketchup.

And, I have been brought up in a family that loves homemade food.

Today, I would like to share my grandmother's homemade ketchup recipe but with a healthy twist.šŸ˜‰

Everybody loves good homemade food and this sauce is a great example that can be made only with a few ingredients, and it requires very little time.

My family absolutely loves this ketchup to eat with sweet potato chips, and I believe you will love it as much as we do. šŸ˜€šŸ‘

Ingredients:

šŸ”øļø300g organic tomato puree

šŸ”øļø1 tbsp raw coconut vinegar

šŸ”øļø 30ml filtered water

šŸ”øļø 2 tbsp maple syrup

šŸ”øļøPinch of Himalayan salt

šŸ”øļø1tbsp onion powder

šŸ”øļø1 tbsp garlic powder

šŸ”øļø1 tsp black pepper

šŸ”øļø1 tsp dried parsley

šŸ”øļø 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Method:

Place the tomato puree and all other ingredients in a powerful food processor or blender.

I like to mix the coconut vinegar, water, and maple syrup in the glass jar from the tomato puree; and then pouring it over to the food processor.

Blend until combined and with a smooth texture.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Enjoy šŸ˜‰
